We're off!

Everyone seemed to be happy to be back at school last week.  Starting this second week until the end of September, our new 3 year olds will be phased in one child at a time so that Ms Brenda and I can specially focus on that new child.

Last week we talked about primary colors and how to mix secondary colors.  We read the book "Mouse Paint" by Ellen Stoll Walsh and did a picture based on the book.  We are using primary colors  in many experiences in art.  Ask your child to tell you the primary and secondary colors.

This week we are beginning discussions about shapes. Our first emphasis is "rectangles" because many, many children in the class cannot name rectangle.  Today we read "Mouse Shapes" by Ellen Stoll Walsh.  Help your child find and name rectangles in his environment.
